Founded in 2009 by Joy Pfister, FBJ has a rich history marked by passion and growth. What began as a solo venture specializing in on-location bridal hair and makeup services has blossomed into a thriving business with a team of over 20 dedicated professionals. Joy's vision and commitment to excellence have been the driving forces behind FBJ's expansion. The company has proudly served numerous venues throughout Central Virginia, leaving an indelible mark on the local wedding industry. FBJ's journey is a testament to the transformative power of dedication, creativity, and a deep love for making every bride's special day truly memorable.

Amanda Lauren
Co-Owner
Amanda, a licensed cosmetologist, became a part of the FBJ team in 2015. Merging her enthusiasm for wedding photography, hair, and makeup, Amanda demonstrated exceptional prowess in her field. She is an award winning photographer, and published hair and makeup artist.
In 2022, she made a significant career shift, as co-owner and management at FBJ.

Joy Pfister

Joy is a licensed Master Esthetician and Instructor, award-winning photographer, and professional makeup artist and hair stylist with decades of experience. Early in her career, she received the Richmond Best Makeup Artist Award and has since continued to earn top industry honors, including Richmond Best and Aisle A-List awards. Her work has been featured in Virginia Bride, Tidewater and Tulle, Richmond Bride, and many others.
