Founded in 2009 by Joy Pfister, FBJ has a rich history marked by passion and growth. What began as a solo venture specializing in on-location bridal hair and makeup services has blossomed into a thriving business with a team of over 20 dedicated professionals. Joy's vision and commitment to excellence have been the driving forces behind FBJ's expansion. The company has proudly served numerous venues throughout Central Virginia, leaving an indelible mark on the local wedding industry. FBJ's journey is a testament to the transformative power of dedication, creativity, and a deep love for making every bride's special day truly memorable.

Amanda Lauren
Amanda, a licensed cosmetologist, became a part of the FBJ team in 2015. Merging her enthusiasm for wedding photography, hair, and makeup, Amanda demonstrated exceptional prowess in her field.
In 2022, she made a significant career shift, taking into owner and management role at FBJ where her leadership skills shone.
Joy is back for 2024
After taking a well-deserved year off, Joy is back with a bang, joining forces with Amanda as the dynamic marketing and media duo. Joy holds licenses as a Master Esthetician and Instructor. She is also an award-winning photographer and a highly skilled professional makeup artist, having received top accolades from Richmond Best and Aisle A-Lister awards.

Absolutely Amazing!
Gosh, I cannot say enough wonderful things about FBJ Weddings! First and foremost, Joy, the owner, was an absolute pleasure to work with and made the whole process so easy. She was extremely flexible during the pandemic as we had to reschedule our wedding twice. I was fortunate enough to be paired with Alicia as my main hair and makeup stylist. She was extremely patient and listened to my vision. Man, is this chick talented. I absolutely LOVED my look during the trial and even more so on my wedding day!
On the wedding day, Alicia and Megan took the time to make each one of my bridesmaids, MOG and my husband’s sister look absolutely stunning! They were extremely professional, clean/safe (in regards to COVID specifically) and such a good time in the bridal suite! Our hair and makeup didn’t budge all night which is extremely impressive! I could not have asked for a better experience for my wedding! Thank you FBJ Weddings!
